Foundation Repair Terminology - Foundation Repair Tip Of The Day #74

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2rFXj5Bt4Y

Earlier this week we introduced ICC, ESR, and LARR reports for all the products we use to repair foundations and lift homes.
In today's #FoundationRepair #TipOfTheDay we have a special guest joining Justin and they discuss some of the terms used throughout our industry that may be a little bit confusing to some. Brandon, from ECP, defines things like a KIP, K factor, and different strengths. A kip equates to 1000 pounds, which is surprisingly pretty simple... A K Factor tell us how the torque correlates to the ultimate capacity of a pile while we are installing piers. Ultimate torsional strength is the maximum torque capacity of an individual pier. Lastly, Ultimate capacity is what we get when we put each of those factors together.

Stay tuned for tomorrow's episode... Brandon will be back providing more education!
